Meet Pamela
Pamela is a native New Yorker raised in Manhattan whose passion for horses began at the young age of 4. She spent every weekend and every holiday and every summer in Bridgehampton surrounded by ponies and horses. Her love and passion for riding was nurtured and strengthened growing up in a family of animal lovers and equestrians.
Pamela began competing at the local horse shows on Long Island. She went on to compete on the national horse show circuit at horse shows from Maine to Wellington, Florida.
Pamela competed with her ponies and horses on a national level. She began her training with Alvin & Patsy Topping riding in the Hunter and Equitation divisions. She continued in the Junior Hunter and Amateur Owner divisions riding with Scott Kemery and Patti Foster. At the same time she was riding with her hunters, Pamela was training and competing in the Jumper division with Olympian and Silver Medalist Neal Shapiro. Pamela successfully rode in the High Junior Jumpers and the High Amateur Jumpers with her two favorite horses Pashmina and Korosa.
While Pamela was riding horses as much as she could, she also maintained an exemplary academic career. She graduated with honors from Brown University.
Pamela credits her love and passion for horses and horsemanship to the wonderful trainers, mentors, veterinarians, grooms and farriers she had when she was learning to ride.
Meet Kendall
Kendall is a Long Island native who grew up around horses. Starting at a young age she would spend countless hours at the barn learning about the equestrian world from her family. Dedicating her life to horses, she had a successful junior career winning at Zone and Marshall and Sterling Finals. Having ridden with talented trainers like Pamela Polk, Kevin Kirk, and Julie Welles, Kendall has a solid foundation of riding knowledge that she enjoys sharing with the next generation of young riders.
Kendall currently works at a finance firm in New York but tries to spend as many weekends as possible at Silver Tide. She has been working with STS for 4 years and her love for horses and passion for the sport has just grown over time. While the animals are what bring her to the barn, the talented and dedicated riders at STS are what make her happy to come back each weekend.
